The hugely anticipated sequel to Sonic's first excursion into the gaming world, Sonic 2 even had a holiday named in honor of its release date! It's the first game in which Sonic's best buddy, Miles "Tails" Prower the fox, is playable, and also introduced multiplayer action to the franchise, allowing both cooperative gameplay and a head-to-head race available from the main menu. Sonic 2 was everything the fans wanted for a sequel and more: it was faster, better-looking, longer, and more polished. Could it get any better than this?
