Which game is better...Sonic CD or Sonic 3 & Knuckles? The fanbase is pretty split on this one, but they're both so epic you don't get much argument. Sonic CD was released shortly after Sonic 2 for the SEGA CD, and gamers were blown away by the advances it made. The graphics were phenomenal, the music was immersive, the gameplay, perfectly balanced. Although Sonic is the only playable character, Sonic CD had immense replayability due to the multitude of hidden things: there are seven Time Stones to collect by playing a pretty fantastic minigame where you smash UFOs, a Past, Present, and Future for every level (and a Good Future if you change the past!), and of course...racing! Sonic CD was the first Sonic game to count milliseconds, and featured a new move: the Super Peelout, which sent Sonic dashing forward at blinding speeds. In short, you owe it to yourself to play this game. Post-script: It should be noted that the European/Japanese version and the North American version had almost completely different soundtracks. Both games, coupled with their soundtracks in MP3 format, are included here on GBS for your listening pleasure!
